At this time, the launch of SwissCube is scheduled to take place on Wednesday 23 September 2009 at 8h16 (Swiss time). The launch will take place from India thanks to the PSLV (Polar satellite launch vehicle) developed by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). Three other Cubesats (from the universities of Berlin, Würzburg and Istanbul) will be launched as secondary payload while the primary payload will be the Indian satellite "Oceansat-2". Approximately 25 minutes after the launch, SwissCube will be deployed and SwissCube should start transmitting its beacon soon after.
